Officer Chris Jones

Officer Chris Jones

Officer Chris Jones joined the Department in August 2006.  He is a graduate of North Idaho College and holds an associate of applied science degree.  Officer Jones has had a strong desire to enter the law enforcement profession for a number of years and has held positions as a reserve and detention deputy with Bonner County, a marine deputy with Kootenai County, and a reserve officer with the Sandpoint and Coeur d’Alene Police Departments.   

Officer Jones is a certified breath testing specialist and instructs other officers in the proper operation of our equipment to test for the presence of alcohol in a person’s breath.

Officer Chris Davis

Officer Chris Davis joined the Priest River Police Department in July 2006.  Officer Davis served the City of Wilder Idaho as a reserve police officer and later the City of Spirit Lake as a fully certified police officer.  While in Spirit Lake, he was the school resource officer.

Since transferring to the Priest River Police Department, Officer Davis has taken on several important responsibilities.  He received training and certification to be our department armorer.   Most recently, he and his canine partner, Jolie, received training and certification from the Idaho Peace Officer Standards and Training Academy (POST) as a drug detection canine team.

Officer Chris Jones

Code Enforcement Officer Tami Bell

Code Enforcement Officer Tami Bell started her position with the police department in September, 2009. She came to this position with a background in law enforcement having worked with both the Bonner County Sheriff’s Office and Priest River Police Department as an administrative assistant. She has an advanced code enforcement officer certificate from the Idaho Peace Officers Standards and Training Academy.

Officer Bell’s duties include animal control, including operation of the impound facility, and the enforcement of City of Priest River Municipal Codes dealing with health and sanitation, parking issues, abandoned vehicles, and other such violations – all important to the maintenance of healthy, safe neighborhoods.

Canine Jolie

Canine Jolie is a Belgian Malinois that has received extensive training in drug detection and has successfully located a wide variety of narcotics from marijuana to methamphetamine.  Together, Jolie and Officer Davis are certified as a drug detection team by the Idaho Peace Officer Standards and Training Academy (POST).   During her off hours, Jolie lives contently with Officer Davis and his family.
