Urban Renewal Agency (URA) Bios Continued

Ryan Fobes-Commissioner

Ryan is a Licensed Civil Engineer who graduated from Montana State University in Bozeman.

After searching for the ideal place to grow some roots, he and his wife chose this region to start their careers after their college commencement.

Nearly a decade, and one child, later they have grown a solid commitment to help steward our region’s potential, and promote thoughtful growth of our communities.

In addition to Ryan’s involvement with Priest River’s Urban Renewal District, he is on the Board of Directors for Bonner County Economic Development Corporation and the Director of Riley Creek’s Land Improvement Program.

Carlene Peterson-Commissioner

Born in Montana-Raised in Idaho-North Idaho that is!

My husband Jim and I have been married for over 30 years. We have a son, Aaron and daughter in law, Emily, 3 terrible cute grandkids. Hayley,  Hannah and Hunter, daughter Katie and son-in-law Tim round out our small but GREAT family.

We love to enjoy our outdoors with fishing and boating at Priest Lake, hiking the backcountry and spending time at our cabin. We enjoy teaching our grandchildren the appreciation and blessing it is to live in such a spectacular and special area.

I obtained my REALTOR license in 1997. I have also earned the coveted CRS designation-Certified Residential Specialist. In 2007 I passed the Idaho State Brokers exam and currently hold a Brokers license. My partner and I own and operate the Coldwellbanker Tomlinson Riverview Real Estate Office located on Highway 2 in Priest River.

I have been married for 31 years to Judy and we have two daughters; Christina and Jennifer.  Christina and Scott have given us three grandchildren; Connor, Gracie, and Brooklyn.  I graduated from Newport High School in 1974 and have resided in Priest River since 1976.

I was re-elected by the community for the City Council position of 2008-2012.  I was a past council man from 2004-2008 and from 1992-1996.  I am very active in the community.  I was a past president and member of the Lions Club for the past 10 years, currently a member of the West Pend Oreille Fire District for the past 26 years, and was an EMT for Priest River Ambulance for 8 years.

I enjoy being a part of the community.  I am currently a member of the West Bonner County Park Commission, a member of the Bonner County EMS Advisory Board, and a member of the Priest River Chamber of Commerce.

I truly enjoy spending time with my family.  My wife and I enjoy camping, 4-wheeling, fishing, and spending time with our kids and three grandchildren.
